iPhone पर Dynamic Island app खोले बिना दिखा देता है कि क्या चल रहा है। Windows पर, जिस coding एजेंट को आपकी ज़रूरत होती है, वह आम तौर पर बस किसी ऐसे terminal tab में bell बजा देता है जो आपको दिख ही नहीं रहा। इस guide में देखिए कि यह कमी कैसे दूर करें।
संक्षेप में
Windows में कोई built-in Dynamic Island या notch area नहीं है। Coding एजेंट आपको terminal के ज़रिए ही signal देते हैं: Windows Terminal में Claude Code और Codex terminal bell का सहारा लेते हैं, और Windows Terminal उस bell को sound और चमकते taskbar icon में बदल सकता है ("bellStyle": "all")। अगर आपको असली always-on-top status bar चाहिए, जो हर एजेंट दिखाए और जिससे आप permission requests का जवाब दे सकें, तो Pet Island जैसा overlay app चाहिए।
एजेंटों के लिए Dynamic Island से लोगों का क्या मतलब है
Apple का Dynamic Island नए iPhones में ऊपर की तरफ़ बना pill के आकार का हिस्सा है, जो app खोले बिना live activity दिखाता है, जैसे timer या रास्ते में आ रही ride। जो developers Claude Code, Codex या Cursor चलाते हैं, वे desktop पर भी यही चाहते हैं: स्क्रीन के ऊपर एक छोटी-सी जगह जो बताए कि कौन-सा एजेंट काम कर रहा है, कौन-सा आपका इंतज़ार कर रहा है और किसका काम पूरा हो गया।
Windows पर इसकी ज़रूरत सबसे ज़्यादा है। Permission prompt उसी window में पड़ा रहता है जिसने एजेंट शुरू किया था, अक्सर आपके editor के पीछे छिपा कोई terminal tab, और जब तक आप उसे ढूँढ न लें, एजेंट रुका रहता है।
बिना extra apps के Windows पर आपको क्या मिलता है

सबसे काम की setting Windows Terminal में है: bellStyle को all पर सेट करने से bell sound बजाती है और taskbar icon को चमकाती है।
इससे पता चलता है कि *कुछ* हुआ है। लेकिन यह नहीं बताता कि कौन-सा एजेंट, वह क्या चलाना चाहता है, और न ही आपको वहीं से जवाब देने देता है।
Hooks से ख़ुद का setup बनाना
Claude Code और Codex दोनों hooks support करते हैं, इसलिए आप ख़ुद Windows notification दिखा सकते हैं: Claude Code में permission_prompt matcher वाला Notification hook, या Codex में TUI notifications। Windows पर Claude Code notifications और Codex notifications guides में चालू configurations दिए गए हैं।
- Notification कुछ सेकंड बाद ग़ायब हो जाती है और बाक़ी सारी notifications के साथ notification center में दब जाती है।
- हर एजेंट का setup अलग करना पड़ता है, और Cursor, Copilot और Gemini CLI तीनों का hook format अलग-अलग है।
- Prompt का जवाब फिर भी एजेंट की window में ही देना पड़ता है। Notification बस उसकी ओर इशारा करती है।
एक always-on-top island: Pet Island
Pet Island, Windows और macOS के लिए एक desktop app है जो यह कमी पूरी करता है: स्क्रीन के ऊपरी किनारे पर, हर window के ऊपर, एक छोटा island, जिसमें हर एजेंट के लिए एक status light होती है। जब Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Grok CLI या Antigravity कोई command चलाने या फ़ाइल edit करने की अनुमति माँगता है, तो island खुलकर एक card बन जाता है जिसमें command या diff होता है। आप जिस window में हैं उसे छोड़े बिना allow (Ctrl Y) या deny (Ctrl N) करते हैं, और एक click में ठीक उसी terminal tab या editor window पर पहुँच जाते हैं।
- तीन styles: notch की तरह ऊपरी किनारे से जुड़ा हुआ, स्क्रीन पर कहीं भी floating, या स्क्रीन के नीचे एक desk pet।
- 22 coding एजेंट: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini CLI, Grok CLI, Antigravity, Windsurf, Cline, OpenCode और कई दूसरे। हर एजेंट के साथ क्या-क्या काम करता है, यह agents page पर दिया है।
- Local: requests आपके computer पर ही पढ़ी जाती हैं और उनका जवाब वहीं दिया जाता है। Code और prompts Pet Island के servers पर नहीं भेजे जाते।
- macOS पर जिन Macs में notch है, उनमें island notch के चारों ओर लिपट जाता है।
Dynamic Island, iPhone के एक feature के लिए Apple का नाम है। Pet Island एक स्वतंत्र app है और Apple से संबद्ध नहीं है।
